Word-initial sound — spotting the odd one out
O Intruso
Find the one picture out of five that does not start with the same sound.
See the game in action
Five pictures hang on a wall: four begin with the same sound and one does not. The child hears the odd one’s sound and drags it to the door. Seven rounds per level, and the sound changes each round.
How it is played
Four moments, from the map to the mechanic the child repeats each round.
1A room of levels. Each opens once the previous is won.
2The level introduces the round’s sound. That is what will serve as the rule.

What the child practises
Recognising what DIFFERS, not what matches. It is the inverse gesture of the other games, and more demanding: instead of looking for a match, the child must compare five sounds with each other and isolate the only one that does not belong.
This is not a stand-alone game
Every answer feeds the child’s report, and the report decides the next activity.
