A lotto card with six pictures and two cards in play at a time. The child matches each card to the picture starting with the same sound. If they tap a card before dragging it, they’ll hear the card’s sound.
How it is played
Four moments, from the map to the mechanic the child repeats each round.
1A lotto card of levels. Each opens once the previous is won.
2The level shows the card: six pictures to fill.
3Beside it, two cards in play at a time. The child hears the name of each.
4They place each card on the picture starting with the same sound. Six pairings win the level.
Word-initial sound
What the child practises
Comparing the initial sound of two words at once. With two cards in play, the child cannot answer by elimination: they must decide, for each one, where it fits — which makes the comparison deliberate rather than trial and error.
This is not a stand-alone game
Every answer feeds the child’s report, and the report decides the next activity.
